Wicked Game-Tierfal Rating: M Pairing: Roy/Ed Summary: Roy has lucked into the all-expenses-paid vacation of his dreams – all he has to do is convince a bunch of happy couples that he's head-over-heels in love with Ed Elric. What could possibly go wrong? Why I Love It: Because Tierfal is a god her characterization and dialogue are always flawless. She deals with the delicate issue of depression/mental illness in a realistic way. I highly recommend this fic to everyone.

The Saffron Soul – BeautifulFictionRating: M Pairing: RoyEd Summary: When a killer blurs the lines of alchemy in an effort to seal two souls together, Ed finds himself under suspicion from the police. Can he prove he is innocent, or are he and Roy doomed to suffer the consequences of the killer's ideals? Why I love it: It is beautifully written, the plot is wonderful, and her characterization is fantastic. Highly recommend this fic. The Adventures of Roy Mustang: Sex Ed Teacher - SkydarkRating: M Pairing: RoyEd Summary: Alchemy, the military and hormones; not a good mix in anyone's book. Why I love it: It is Sky's first fic but even so the characterization is done very well. It has drama, romance, comedy, and just a whole host of other awesome things. I would honestly recommend any of her RoyEd fanfiction. And just as a side note, I read Wicked Game a few days back and I loved it. Absolutely fantastic story

Relationships are hard enough even when they're totally normal - but Roy and Ed seem determined to make theirs as not-normal as it can get. BDSM porn with a plot. Or plot with overwhelming amounts of porn. Pick one. Impetus Ad Hominem: A Love Story in its Second Act -Mthaytr Pairng: RoyEd Rating: Explicit Summary: Edward Elric and Roy Mustang's relationship can seem questionable at best, when portrayed in a certain light. An important promotion makes Roy a prime target for character assassination, and when a political adversary delivers news of their relationship to the newspapers, the perfect storm ensues. Roy and Edward must fight to keep their balance in the chaos, or else lose everything they have worked so hard to achieve. Plot with politics, porn, angst, and fluff. What more could you want? Sequel to The Limits of Control: A BDSM Love Story. Why I Love Them: Both fics contain some fantastic smut and the story line and characterization is phenomenal.

Closer, by Rainjoy
Roy/Ed, Explicit. Summary: An epic schmoopfest in seventy-odd parts. Why I like it: This is one of the Roy/Ed classics of the internet. Unfinished and on questionably permanent hiatus, it's nevertheless a must-read, for its complex plot; satisfyingly angsty, fluffy, and sexy romance; and beautiful, provocative writing. It's Only Time, by RainjoyRoy/Ed, Mature. Summary: God, time does go so, so quickly. Why I like it: By Rainjoy again -- I'll just rec them right now, all of their writing is fantastic. This in particular is just my favorite of theirs -- raw and genuine and realistic; life happening, insecurity and love and all. 1923, The Only Fault, by iluxiaRoy/Ed, Mature. Summary: Oneshot, complete. As Edward settles into his new life in New England with his brother, far away from the ravages of wars in Europe and safely ensconced in the arms of America's best university, he encounters a face he never would have thought he'd see again. Shamballa AU. Why I like it: Okay, if It's Only Time is my favorite Rainjoy, well, this is my favorite fic in the entire archive. It's long, especially for a one-shot, and therefore can't exactly be described in a couple words by someone who's hardly a writer herself. It's heart-wrenching and beautiful. Go read it. To The Wolves, by TierfalRoy/Ed, Teen. Summary: 1. Idiomatic phrase describing an unmanageable situation, e.g. "They threw me to the wolves!" 2. Rally cry for the Trinton High School Timberwolves. Why I like it: Firstly, no FMA fic rec is complete without at least one Tierfal fic on it. (I'm cheating, with two.) And since "Wicked Game" was already rec'd, well, this is my second-favorite. Includes "65% Cocky Bastard" and "51% Problem Child", the two most genius high school AUs since the genre was invented.
